Airline PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk has agreed to pay a $19 million Australian ($14.7 million) penalty to settle a long-running price-fixing cartel case in Australia and has dropped its previous appeal against the penalty, Airline Geeks reported. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission sued Garuda alongside 14 other global airlines for their involvement in an air freight price fixing cartel between 2002 and 2006.
