It has been reported that the Irish Government is considering an extended wage support scheme specifically for the aviation industry over concerns of further job losses. Assistant Secretary Fintan Towey told a conference delegation that the Government recognised the need to provide clarity on any lifting of travel restrictions before the end of May and that an announcement on this issue would be coming in the next one or two weeks.
