Indian passenger recovery is showed a robust comeback in September 2022 over the same period last year according to data released by the aviation safety regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). India’s domestic air passenger volume grew 64.61% to 10.35 million in September 2022 as compared to September 2019. Excluding Akasa Air, the Indian domestic carriers flew over 7.66 million passengers on local routes as per the report. Akasa Air commenced its flight services on domestic routes on August 7, 2022.
